This is the 2-3 place 16hp prototype Vanguard that was designed and built in 1993. The designer has personally driven over a dozen of about 60 built. The prototype would reach 32mph on water in calm air.

Ed Lamphier, of Vancouver B. C., Canada is the builder of this Vanguard.

Chris Haskins, of Coupeville, on Whidbey Island, WA built this Prospector.

Ira Juhl, of Billings, MT shows off his completed Vanguard. He can now take up surface skimming, at the age of 74.

Gordon Cameron, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada built this Vanguard. It has the full guard and three rudders as shown in the current Vanguard plans.
